A World of Experience: Growing up DODDS | |
It's an unconventional way to grow up: Moving every few years, sometimes across the globe, and landing on a new military
base. Making new friends and learning new rules takes time. Some children thrive in their unique role as 'military brats,'
while others struggle to cope. To find out how these kids handle the constant upheaval in their lives, Stars and Stripes
asked DODDS students to describe their experiences in an essay. Several of those essays appeared in weekend editions
of Stars and Stripes, and all those and more are now available online at Stripes.com. Read the story, browse the essays and see your child's life through a fresh perspective. | | This e-mail update is sponsored by
