Hello All; March 2009

So far we have only 6 Quota Posts. We have a few Posts within 5 or less cards. This is very make able for these Post if they have not quit trying to get members. ALL POSTS SHOULD TRYING TO GET NEW MEMBERS. This one of the goals of the Legion. Present to people the programs not just the canteen. The rest of us need to get our committee together and go out for a couple of hours and get new and non-renewed members. We will be using this a lot next year on our way to the BROWN JUG. We need to use our committees. It not just the role of the 1^st Vice to get members but all of us. The 4^th District had a BROWN JUG Party and most Posts turned in 1 to 5 cards and it totaled 56 cards. Not to bad for that night. We need to get these cards in also. You see the ones, twos, and three cards do add up. Come and get going and ‘BE COUNTED AGAIN.' We still can get the Big # 1 pin for this year with all your help. Check out where you are at and lets increase your standing by at least 2% point before April.

Also we are in the Marriott Hotel on Patterson Blvd. this year. Thanks to all your GREAT WORK to make this possible.

Our next event will be the annual Jerry Moore Golf Outing. It will be held on 30 May 2009 at the Sugar Isle Golf Course. The festivities will begin at 7:30 with registration and tee off at 8:30. Our dinner and awards will be at Post 286 after the games are over. Registration forms for the golf outing and hole sponsors have been sent to each Post. Cost is $60.00 per player and $50 for a Hole sponsor. Only 30 teams allowed. If you need more info call me at 937-667-2714.

I would like to thank the Posts that were our hosts for our district events, Post 353 for the horseshoe tournre, Post 43 for the bowling tourney and Post 665 for the corn hole tourney and to all those that participated in our events. Thanks for your support.
